Description: | Job Description: Performs clerical, bookkeeping, and office support duties; processes files and records, provides information and assistance to customers for the Planning and Zoning Department.
Experience Required: Required Education and Experience Associates degree from an accredited college or university OR One (1) to three (3) years of experience OR Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Required Licenses or Certifications Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Wyoming Drivers License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Essential Responsibilities: Updates and maintains a variety of electronic and paper files, records, reports, and documents. Receives documents, technical records, and applications; checks documents for validity and accuracy of information; files paperwork and enters data into department computer systems; reports discrepancies to supervisor. Provides a variety of clerical and office assistance duties; makes and distributes copies; schedules meetings; processes mail, correspondence, invoices, and other documents. Office administration duties such as filing, scanning, phones, etc. Manage and create Planning and Zoning board agendas and virtual meeting information. Provides customer service, information, and assistance to visitors and others having business with the County; responds to requests for information within the scope of authority. Supports the relationship between the Sublette County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned. Attends necessary Planning and Zoning Board meetings, which take place in the evenings.
Knowledge, skills & abilities: County policies and procedures. Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic office practices and procedures. Effective oral and written communication. Organizational skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with public officials, community members and stakeholders. Customer service principles, standards, and methods. Ability to utilize effectively office programs such as Word, Microsoft 356, Excel, TEAMS meeting management etc.
